Eastman Amphora™ 3D polymer

Eastman Amphora™ 3D polymer is a high-performing polymer uniquely suited for additive manufacturing applications. For the makers of 3D filaments, as well as engineers, manufactures, designers, educators, and prototypers, Amphora provides a range of indispensable qualities, including: advanced overhang capacity, material integrity, dimensional stability, and superior melt strength. Amphora supports 3D printing to exacting dimensions—crucial for products with tight tolerances and multi-component parts—allowing for the fit and functionality of prototypes to be accurately tested. Amphora 3D polymer delivers smooth processing through extrusion nozzles, with less breakage, resulting in the high durability often associated with injection molding. Amphora delivers engineering-grade performance allowing replacement parts to be printed with less support material and without the need for remounting complex molding systems, resulting in cost savings.

Unlike polylactic acid (PLA), Amphora does not degrade at higher temperatures, ensuring a smooth flow through extrusion nozzles. Amphora complies with certain U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations for food contact applications; it is low-odor, low-emission, and styrene and BPA-free. Given these qualities, Amphora is the ideal hassle-free option for educators who are looking to explore emerging curriculum around 3D printing in the technology, science, art, and design fields. Amphora 3D filament has both functional and aesthetic qualities—it will perform as well in art class as it will in science labs or shops.

NEW Eastman Amphora™ Flex 3D polymer FL6000

Eastman Amphora™ Flex 3D polymer FL6000 is a flexible polymer ideal for applications that demand the durability of an engineering-grade polymer and the comfort and utility of a flexible material. It is optimal for projects ranging from medical devices to customized footwear. Amphora Flex FL6000 can be used with standard 3D printers eliminating the need to switch to specialized flex extruders. Thanks to its exceptional layer-to-layer adhesion and melt strength, it prints at a faster speed than other elastomeric materials, enabling designers to quickly create functional parts that can withstand the rigors of everyday use. Amphora Flex FL6000 provides a Shore A hardness level of 95, outstanding chemical resistance, and a temperature resistance that allows for steam sterilization, ideal polymer properties for the additive manufacturing of prosthetics, orthotics, ancillary surgical tools, and other medical devices.
