Overview

The Material

Eastman Cadence™ copolyester, for calendered films, is a specialty plastic developed to meet the demand for an environmentally responsible material for the calendering industry. Available in different grades, it will meet your specifications for ease of processing, high-melt strength, clarity, and gloss. The versatility and high performance of Cadence is evident in its range of applications, including: appliances, building and construction materials, consumer durable goods, electronics, and packaging.  

Cadence provides a variety of advantages, it can be used on existing calendering lines with minimal or no modification, has good thermal stability during normal calendaring process conditions, and does not need drying prior to the calendering process. Cadence is both easy to emboss and decorate using standard engraved rolls, offset lithography, and flexographic and screen-printing processes. It thermoforms easily and is compatible with commercial adhesives used in the lamination process.

Eastman Cadence™ copolyester is GREENGUARD INDOOR AIR QUALITY CERTIFIED® and CRADLE TO CRADLE CERTIFIED(cm).
